Yokai Karate-Do is a very well established karate club, train with confidence in a positive and friendly atmosphere.

Yokai has to offer:

The demonstration and teaching of effective techniques
Training using fight scenarios
Reaction and timing techniques
Kumite training drills
Fitness and flexibility training
Kata and its effective use (bunkai jutsu)

Our style of karate is wado-ryu based with both, traditional and sport karate covered.

Chris Summers 5th Dan chief instructor is a qualified referee, E.K.F. tatami coach, enhanced C.R.B. (D.B.S.) checked, first aid trained and has 38 years experience.

The club hosts regular, local seminars/courses with some of the best instructors and coaches in the country. National courses are also available.

We have a full set of competition mats (tatami) and lots of other training equipment which are used each week with up-to-date training drills.

We have a proud record of achievement with British and English championship medalist's within our club, and some of our athletes attend England squad sessions.
